Artist Statement

Some will say writing is difficult or too much, however, for me writing is an escape route from the real world to really express how I feel about obstacles. At a certain point, writing wasn’t my favorite thing to do in this world. Professors and Teachers throughout my educational experience always gave me the same writing prompts and discussions to write about instead of letting me write in a free space mindset setting. As a writer, I always find the purpose and true messages behind something to really make the story I’m telling last forever to my audience. That really comes from my true vision behind my writing, it reflects who I am as a person. Majoring in Mass Communication with a concentration in sports journalism and TV production, this allows me to expand my writing skills and communication skills to another level until my writing is impactful to my community.

The outcome feedback I would love to see from my community that take the opportunity to discover my writing, is to become a sponge. Gain important information to not only benefit them but how they can transmit the same theme message to their peers. To create that impact for others, I love to write about motivational sequences, leadership within yourself, love, and advice to stay true to who you are and remembering your why in life. Not only as a writer, as an artist, I strive to be different from the ordinary, going the extra mile to be opportunistic. The mindset to become a great writer is a quote I take on forever. “Either you write something worth reading or do something worth writing” – Benjamin Franklin.
